Candidate Frethem Hires Field Director
Zachary Zimmerman accepts position in Shoreview resident’s campaign for Ramsey County Commissioner in District 1
SHOREVIEW, MINN. – August 27, 2019 – Nicole Joy Frethem, a Shoreview resident, state employee and mother of two, today announced Zachary Zimmerman has accepted the role of Field Director in her campaign for Ramsey County Commissioner in District 1.
Zimmerman currently works as a legislative assistant for two state legislators in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He is also the committee assistant for the Energy and Climate Finance and Policy Committee.
As Frethem’s field director Zimmerman is responsible for leading field strategy, organizing phonebanks, coordinating door knocking activities and strategically targeting the voter database.
“I am thrilled to join Nicole’s campaign for Ramsey County Commissioner,” said Zimmerman. “I am excited to be rallying support for someone that is passionate for the environment and committed to prioritizing families in her community.”
Frethem won the August 13 primary with 41 percent of the vote and is gearing up for the general election on November 5.
“Zach is an incredible addition to my team,” said Frethem. “His previous campaign experience in Ramsey County District 1 as a field organizer for Jamie Becker-Finn, Kelly Moller and Ami Wazlawik will continue to drive our momentum through November 5.”
